The average price for both adults and children is $400, which includes accident insurance. The experience lasts about an hour and covers dressing up, taking photos, water lessons, and grooming.

Shop environment

The snorkeling shop provides everything you need, including goggles, stinger suits, swim rings, life jackets, and water shoes. If you’re particular about hygiene, you might want to bring your own goggles.

Stinger suits come in a variety of sizes, and the store staff will assist you in choosing the one that fits you best.

The shop also provides life jackets and swim rings for children, ensuring that safety equipment is more than sufficient.

The shower room is equipped with shampoo and shower gel, so you can freshen up after snorkeling. However, towels are not provided. Even if they were, I wouldn’t recommend using them since towels are more personal. It’s best to bring your own.

The snorkeling location is in the waters near Xiaoliuqiu’s famous scenic spot, “Vase Stone.” It’s clear that this area is a prime snorkeling spot! You’ll also find many groups of tourists enjoying the snorkeling activities around here.

First Snorkeling Experience

Before entering the water, the instructor will show you how to use the goggles. Unfortunately, I’m not very comfortable in the water and felt quite nervous. In the end, I struggled and had to switch to breathing through a snorkel.

Despite this, the instructor was very attentive and concerned about my condition.

The instructor guided us along a great route and consistently helped us find spots where turtles were likely to appear. We were fortunate to encounter a 160-year-old turtle swimming right in front of us during our time in the water.

We got so close to the large sea turtle that we could see the moss on its shell.

The coach will also dive underwater to take photos for us. They swim swiftly and gracefully, making it a pleasure to watch them from the surface.

There are sea turtles at the bottom, and they seem to be resting. The enthusiastic instructor dove underwater to help us take photos with the sea turtles.

The water is incredibly clear at the bottom. In addition to turtles, you can also spot other creatures like clownfish, jellyfish, and soft corals.

End of a Happy Snorkeling Experience

Snorkeling for the first time was incredibly fun! The instructor mentioned that snorkeling feels like being on a boat—you sway with the waves, and if you continue too long, you might feel faint.
