The tickets are very cute, featuring the pattern of adorable spotted deer. Upon entry, each ticket can be exchanged for a cup of carrot.

Plum Blossom Deer Park | Admission Guidelines

The staff will first explain the feeding methods and safety precautions. The Plum Blossom Deer are divided into “Adult Deer” and “Young Deer” areas. The Young Deer area is where visitors primarily interact. Once everything is ready, we can happily feed the deer and take photos!

Plum Blossom Deer Park | Newborn Fawns

During this visit, we happened to encounter a one-month-old deer fawn named “Little Brother (么弟).” The park has placed him in a separate cage for protection and will later bring him back to his mother for feeding.

Plum Blossom Deer Park | Young Deer Area

Once you enter and hold a carrot, a group of young deer will come over. It can be unexpectedly intimidating!

Each deer has its own unique personality. Some will spit if they can’t get a carrot, others will steal food from their companions, and some are more timid, sniffing the food first and not daring to eat right away.

The hooves of the sika deer are quite sharp, and getting stepped on can be very painful. So it’s best to wear sneakers to avoid getting hurt!

Plum Blossom Deer Park | Adult Deer Area

Adult deer sometimes fight, so if you want to enter, the staff will observe the deer’s behavior and only allow entry if they confirm the deer are calm and stable.

Overall, the park is not large; you can explore it in about 30-40 minutes, or up to an hour if you include time for photography.

Many online reviews mention that the ticket price is a bit high, but considering the care needed for the many plum blossom deer in the park, it’s understandable. Moreover, the park is kept very clean, making it worth a visit!
